After fielding continued requests, Scheffer finally relented in the spring of 2002 to allow Savoy to fill a niche for top-level catering that would be unlike any other in the area. Rather than offering a set catering menu, Savoy provides clients with unlimited options - allowing customers to create the events they want, suited to their personal style.

Personal Wine Dinners

As an offshoot of catering, Scheffer also created the "personal wine dinner" which took the concept of Savoy's intimate wine dinners into people's homes. The idea was a immediate hit and has become a trend among Asheville hosts.
